Again lost time checking out the dip, (Paul was doing well). Paul (Rog's son)was sailing at Levington, windy and flat - but is did drop and paul was swopping between 5.0M not quite enough and 6.5
I went for 6.5 but it was borderline OK in gusts but just planing in the lull, (7.5M with hindsight would have been good but I would have had to sit out the gusts as they were big. I forgot the GPS so couldn't say speed.
Regretfully after my 3rd run I hit a rock gybing at speed in the large bay and it took out my lovely curtis slalom fin. I will never get another fin like that at the price I paid, as it was a chance Ebay buy. The racers want serious money for a poxy fin.
The water was just below waist height and I thought I was way off the beach but alas not far off enough, so it was fcuking good night vienna and another fcuking long walk of shame back to the car.
Paul offered to help on the walk of shame, but how could I stop him enjoying the nice conditions after driving all the way from Bury?
